Job Responsibilities
As a Contracting Plumber, you will:
- Perform various plumbing services, including but not limited to:
- Toilet repairs and installations
- Sink and faucet repairs or additions
- Shower and bathtub repairs or installations
- Showerhead replacements or upgrades
- Dishwasher installations
- Water heater installations or repairs
- Leak detection and pipe repairs
- Vent pipe repairs and maintenance
- Supply line repositioning or replacements
- Wax ring installation
- Drain cleaning and unclogging
- Outdoor hose bib installations or repairs
- Garbage disposal repairs and replacements
- Water pressure adjustments
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining project details and providing updates.
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Building Code and local plumbing regulations.
- Manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A valid Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) as a plumber in Ontario.
- A current Plumbing License with the City of Toronto.
- Compliance with the Ontario Building Code and all local plumbing regulations.
- Valid WSIB coverage or equivalent insurance.
- A minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience in residential projects.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Your own tools and reliable transportation.
- The ability to provide a clear criminal background check.
